ID badges- Each student will be provided one ID Badge with a lanyard. It will be worn ALL DAY at school. It comes home with your child and returns every morning. Yellow Daily Folders- Your child will have his/her communication folder in their backpack daily. Please use this folder for any notes for the teacher. The folder will go home daily and should be returned daily.
Blue Weekly Folders - Your child will have his/her weekly work folder come home every Tuesday. This will contain any work from the week and any graded work that will be entered into PowerSchool. Please review the work, sign the back paper, and return by Wednesday or the next school day your child is present.
Changes in Transportation- If you wish for your child's transportation to be changed for a particular day, please send in a written note with the correct date, teacher's name, student's first and last name, and parent signature. If there is no written note received then your child will go home via his/her usual method of transportation. I cannot guarantee that I will see an email before dismissal. If you need to change your child’s transportation after they have left for school please call the office to make transportation changes.
Absences- If your child is absent, please make sure to send in a note for your child's absence so it will not be unexcused.

Snack Time- The students are allowed to bring and eat one snack during snack time. Please do not send in items such as candy.
Birthdays- Please do not send in birthday treats for your child this year. Every month, PTA will have a birthday celebration for students that have a birthday that month (June birthdays go in May and July birthday go in August).
Restroom Breaks: Students may go to the restroom without asking permission. If they need to use the bathroom during an instructional time they might be asked if they can wait until they are doing independent work. If not, they can go immediately. If they can wait, they will be able to go as soon as directions or instructions are finished. Students will be encouraged to use the restroom either before or after lunch.
Movement in the Classroom: Movement is incorporated into classroom instruction to keep students’ brains active and engaged. We will primarily use Go Noodle, which has a great variety of energizing and relaxing activities that are approximately 3 minutes each. Several activities are chosen throughout the day.
