August 11th-18th - Students are starting out the first week of art by discussing classroom procedures and expectations.

For many of the students, this is just a refresher from previous years but there are a few things that have changed from last school year so it's good to go over everything not just for the ones who have been at Hollis previously but also for all our new friends! 

We are also working on a little "Welcome to Art" worksheet and getting to use some art materials. 

5th grade are getting to do art journals this year where they will have a weekly journal challenge to complete in their journals. The journal challenge isn't only just drawing but also a little bit of reading and writing too!
