August 18th - September 12th: Students have started out the school year by learning about line. I have been telling all of my classes that "a line is a dot that went for a walk." I wish I could say I came up with that fun saying, but it's actually a quote from a famous artist named Paul Klee. 

Each grade level is currently working on a different project involving line.

Once our line projects are finished, I'll get a chance to hang several of our pieces in the hallway outside of art class and in my classroom! 

Next, in September, we will be working on our "Element of Art: Shape" projects. And in October we start work on our "Dia De Los Muertos" projects to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!
