About Ms. Austin

II earned both a BA in Journalism and a BS in Special Education from USC Upstate in Spartanburg, SC. I have worked in Greenville County Schools for over 11 years. I began as a paraprofessional at Chandler Creek Elementary and Plain Elementary and started teaching at Berea Middle School. This will be my 4th year teaching Special Education at Thomas E Kerns Elementary.

I have one absolutely adorable son, who is in fourth grade. He gets his dramatic flair from me! He gets his brilliant mind from both sides of the family.  😁

I am thrilled to be teaching your students in the multi-categorical class this year. One of the joys of teaching students with special needs is getting to know the students and watching their progress over multiple years. I love learning new things along with the students in my class.
