I have a bachelors in early childhood education from USC Upstate, a masters in literacy from Furman University and a plus 30 with a concentration in ESOL from Clemson University. I am honored to say I was Teacher of the Year for 2018-2019. This is my thirteenth year teaching. I taught first grade for seven years at Summit Drive Elementary and this is my sixth year as an MLP teacher at Crestview Elementary.

Both my parents are from Colombia, South America. My mother lost her battle with ovarian cancer in 2017, leaving my father to reside half the year with me in South Carolina and the other half in Colombia.
I have an older sister who still lives in New York. She has blessed me with the most precious 15 and 8 year old nephews. We spend time together during the summer and the holidays.
I have the sweetest 16 year old stepson and the silliest four year old. When I am not busy being mom, you can find me reading a book, enjoying a crossword puzzle, or spending time with friends.
