A short video of  Challenge in Ms. Brown's classroom.

Once again Stone Academy had a strong showing at the ASCE Bridge Event.  We entered 12 bridges this year and 8 of the 12 bridges held the max weight (100 pounds of force).

A special thanks to everyone for coming to the bridge event and supporting Stone Academy  fourth grade Challenge students along with all the parents.

Stone Academy had a very strong showing at the ASCE bridge event.  We entered 11 bridges this year and 9 of the 11 bridges held the max weight (100 pounds of force):  The Angry Potatoes, Two C’s and a J, Dancing Gummy Bears, Blazing Builder Cats, Big Bad Ballers, Calculated Pizzas, Da Bridge, Team Unstoppable, and Fierce Chihuahuas.  I am so proud of them, and I am so grateful for all your support.

Quick  Q and A:

Q:  When does my child receive a Challenge Progress Report?

A:  Students will receive a progress report from me each semester (2nd and 4th nine weeks).  Therefore students will not receive one first nine weeks but the next nine weeks.

Q: Does my child have to qualify again for Challenge?

A: No. Once your child qualifies for Challenge they will always be in Challenge unless you remove them.

Q: Is there Challenge in middle school?

A: Yes. It is called Challenge Language Arts. Your child will be automatically enrolled into this class in 6th grade.

Q: Is there a Challenge math class in middle school?

A: No. There is advance math in middle school. If you talk to your child’s homeroom teacher, they will explain the criteria for advance math.
