Flexible Seating
Flexible Seating
This year we will be incorporating flexible (or alternative) seating in our classroom. This means that when students are working they will have the freedom to find comfortable spaces around the room to work. They might be kneeling, standing, sitting, working on the carpet with a clipboard, or sitting at a table with an exercise ball. There are many possibilities of what this can look like in a classroom. Research shows that when students are comfortable they are able to focus and do their best work. It is my goal to utilize flexible seating to help your student be more comfortable and have successful learning opportunities in varied spaces!
We will work to earn VIP FriYAYs in our class each week!!! On VIP FriYAYs, students will receive a special reward/incentive in the classroom (reading with flashlights, reading in the galaxy, no shoes, seat choice, etc.). In addition to our VIP classroom reward, we would like to celebrate with a snack.
