About Me

My name is Mrs. Welkner, and I am originally from Miami, Florida.  I am married to my husband, Rick, and we have two grown daughters, Lindsey and Kate who are both married. We are enjoying our new grandbaby, Selah, and are so grateful for this addition to our family.  I love going on walks with my husband and my family, cooking and gardening, and reading for personal enrichment.  I graduated from Liberty University with a BS in Education and have a M.Ed. degree from North Greenville University.  I am bilingual and love teaching English and Spanish.  

I always wanted to be a psychologist/counselor and someone recommended that I go into teaching to gain some experience.  I followed that timely advice and fell in love with teaching students.  I count it a privilege and an honor to be a teacher.  I hope to inspire you to love English, love learning, and love people!
