Greenville County Schools Grading Scale
A: 100-90
B: 89-80
C: 79-70
D: 69-60
F: 59 and below
Many parents remember the seven point scale from when we were in school. The lowest C on the 7 point scale was 77. The 10 point scale is the one often used in colleges and universities. A C is where the average students should be at this age in this grade. Bs are slightly above grade level and As are well above grade level.
I remind my students that now that they are bigger kiddos, so they have to step up their game. Those As and Bs are not going to come easily. It takes consistent, hard work, but it is possible. All students are capable. All students can learn and achieve.
If a student is continually earning Ds and/or Fs, that is a sign that somewhere is a disconnect we need to work to fix. It could require reteaching, extra practice, or a sign of an unknown learning difficulty. Regardless of the case, I will do my best to help your student close the gaps in their learning.
For security purposes, our detailed schedule is not available here. I will send our detailed schedule through Seesaw. A printed copy will also be sent home.

Car Riders, please have your student's number visible to ensure your student comes out as soon as possible. If you do not have your student's car rider tag, you will be asked to park, come in the front office and present I.D. to be doubled checked against the list of people allowed to pick up your student.
If possible, please avoid appointments during the school day, particularly in the afternoon. This is when we have reading and math, writing , and social studies or science.
If your student works with Mrs. Rabe, Mrs. Hendrich, Mrs. Cummings, Ms. Ward, or Ms. Parsons, please make sure they are on time. Our Intervention and Enrichment time (I/E Time) starts at 7:50 a.m. each morning and students are picked up at 7:45, right after attendance is taken.
