About Mrs. Penny

This is my 17th year of teaching, and I've had the privilege of being at Westcliffe all seventeen of those years! Westcliffe is a special place and I value the deep roots I have here. To become a highly qualified and certified teacher, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Bob Jones University in 2001. I then went on to earn my Master's Degree in Learning Disabilities from Furman University in 2003. I also achieved my certification as a National Board Teacher in 2007. In July 2013, my name transitioned from Ms. Honeyager to Mrs. Penny when I married my amazing husband, Nathan. Our daughter Adelaide will be two in October, and being a mom has enhanced my perspective as a teacher. Thank you for entrusting me with your important little one. I do not take the privilege or responsibility lightly.

I love being a teacher! Every day is new and offers amazing opportunities to grow, both for my students and for me! Thank you for sharing your children with me this year!
