All about Mrs. Owens

Welcome To Mrs. Owens' Site and to our class!

Hi! I graduated from Columbia College with a B. A. degree in Early Childhood Education and my certification is in Early Childhood Education. I have been teaching for thirty-one years and have experience teaching kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. As you can see, I love teaching young children! Watching them grow and learn is such a wonderful, fulfilling experience.

My husband and I have one 26 year old son named Hayes. He is a Clemson graduate. I love animals and I'm on the board for an adoption group that finds forever homes for retired racing Greyhounds, so you may see me at places like Petsmart or Petco with my dogs. We now have 4 Greyhounds, a Spanish Galgo, and a miniature Poodle. Our fun for the summer was the addition of a Greyhound puppy named Pixie. Sometimes we may also have a foster Greyhound at our house, so we have quite the zoo. In addition to family activities, I also enjoy spending time with friends, singing, reading, going to the beach, and shopping in my free time. I am very excited to have your child in my class this year and look forward to getting to know them, teach them, and work with you! Thank you for sharing them with me this year!
