About Me

My name is Lynsey Coon and this is my twenty-second year teaching middle grades math.  Twenty-one of those years have been spent at Hillcrest Middle School (GO WILDCATS!).  I graduated from Clemson University (GO TIGERS!) in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in Sports Marketing.  I went back to Clemson and graduated in 2004 with a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Middle Grades Mathematics.  

My husband, Richard, and I have two daughters.  Our oldest is a freshman in high school this year.  Our youngest is a sixth grader here at HMS.  We also have two cats, Grayman and Twilight, and three dogs, Lola, Lucy, and Ruby.

In my spare time, I like to read historical fiction, watch football (GO GATORS!), and visit Disney World.
