Mrs. Rebecca Bomhold

Special Education Teacher

Hello! I'm Mrs. Rebecca Bomhold, and I am so excited to welcome you to The Hive!

I have always believed that every child deserves to feel valued, supported, and capable of success. My goal is to create a classroom where students feel safe to take risks, celebrate their accomplishments, and grow both academically and personally. I strive to build meaningful relationships with each student while providing a structured, engaging, and positive learning environment that meets their individual needs.

Before becoming a teacher, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Data Analytics from Liberty University. My passion for working with students led me to pursue a career in special education, where I have had the privilege of supporting students with diverse learning needs. I am honored to now serve as the Intermediate Multi-Categorical teacher at Bryson Elementary through Greenville County Schools' GATE program.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three children. We love exploring new places, spending time outdoors, and making memories together. At home, we also have a dog named Ronald and two cats who keep life entertaining!

I am looking forward to partnering with your family to make this a wonderful year filled with learning, growth, and success. Together, we truly can make The Hive an amazing place for every student to thrive.

Mrs. Wanda Kohler

I'm Wanda Kohler, and I am so excited to be joining Mrs. Bomhold's team this year!

For the past two years, I have worked in the ID Moderate classroom at Bryson Elementary. Before that, I was a substitute teacher here at Bryson. I earned my Master's degree in Special Education from Old Dominion University and taught for several years before becoming a stay-at-home mom.

I was born and raised in Virginia, but I have called South Carolina home for the past 16 years. My husband and I have been married for 30 years, and we have two wonderful daughters. Our oldest, Faith, recently graduated from high school and is preparing to attend the College of Charleston. Our youngest, Madison, is beginning her senior year at Hillcrest High School.

Both of my daughters attended Bryson Elementary from kindergarten through fifth grade. During those years, I was an active room parent and PTA board member, so I have been a part of the Bryson family long before officially joining the staff.

I truly love Bryson Elementary, and I can't wait to get to know your children and work alongside them this year. I'm looking forward to a fantastic school year filled with learning, growth, and fun!

Hello! My name is Ashley Lucenti, and I am excited to be returning for my second year as a paraprofessional at Bryson Elementary!

Before joining the Bryson family, I spent over 20 years working for a local foster care agency. While I now work in the classroom, I continue to dedicate a few hours each month to training individuals who are preparing to become foster parents—a role that is very meaningful to me.

I am originally from Florida and moved to Greenville, South Carolina, in 2006, shortly after my husband, Vince, and I were married. We have a wonderful daughter, Brookie, who is entering the 9th grade this year, and a lovable black Labrador named Maggie who keeps our family smiling.

When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, staying active through exercise, watching Netflix, and playing tennis whenever the South Carolina weather isn't too hot!

I am looking forward to another fantastic school year and can't wait to get to know our students and families!

Hi! I'm Lisa Wade, and I am excited to be part of your child's learning journey this year! This is my 16th year at Bryson Elementary and my 16th year in this classroom.

I live in Fountain Inn and enjoy taking my golf cart downtown to have dinner with friends. When I'm not at school, my favorite places to be are the beach and the lake. Every summer, I spend one week at the beach and one week at the lake with my daughter and son-in-law. Those trips are some of my favorite memories, and I treasure the time we get to spend together.

I truly love working with our students and helping them learn and grow each day. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year and can't wait to meet all of our amazing students and families!

Barry is the heart of The Hive! His favorite job is helping students feel welcomed, encouraged, and excited about learning. Whether he's joining us during morning meetings, cheering students on during lessons, or traveling home each weekend with one of our classmates, Barry reminds us that kindness, friendship, and teamwork help our hive grow stronger every day.

Barry loves hearing about students' adventures and reading the journal entries they create together. His favorite things are making new friends, exploring new places, celebrating accomplishments, and spreading smiles wherever he goes.
