I am really excited about my twenty-third year of teaching! This is my 19th year teaching in Greenville county, my 13th year teaching 3rd grade and my sixth year teaching at Simpsonville Elementary. Previously, I have taught first, second, third and fifth grades at another school in Greenville County. (But third is my favorite!)
I am married to my absolute best friend - Shane. Together we have 5 kids - Ashley, Zachary, Jacob, Jacob, and Kaylen. YES! We have 2 Jacobs! :) We also have 3 amazing grandkids - Lukas, Ellie, Gaston, and Sutton. We love spending time with our family and doing anything outside including riding bikes, hiking, traveling, and playing a variety of sports.
I graduated from University of South Carolina - Spartanburg with a B.S. in Psychology and Converse College with a Masters in Teaching.
I know third grade is going to be the BEST grade EVER! It is definitely my favorite to teach. Students are fun and so lovable. I look forward to teaming with you this year to help your child reach their potential. I believe in setting big goals and working hard to achieve them. I also know that relationships are key to success.
