I am really excited about my seventeenth year of teaching! This is my 19th year teaching in Greenville county, my 14th year teaching 3rd grade and my fifth year teaching at Simpsonville Elementary. Previously, I have taught first, second, third and fifth grades at another school in Greenville County. (But third is my favorite!)
I am married to my absolute best friend - Shane. Together we have 5 kids - Ashley, Zachary, Jacob, Jacob, and Kaylen. YES! We have 2 Jacobs! :) We also have 3 amazing grandkids - Lukas, Ellie, and Gaston. We love spending time with our family and doing anything outside including riding bikes, hiking, traveling, and playing a variety of sports.
I graduated from University of South Carolina - Spartanburg with a B.S. in Psychology and Converse College with a Masters in Teaching.
I know third grade is going to be the BEST grade EVER! It is definitely my favorite to teach. Students are fun and so lovable. I look forward to teaming with you this year to help your child reach their potential. I believe in setting big goals and working hard to achieve them. I also know that relationships are key to success.
