About Us

Meet Mrs. Rhyne:

Hello! My name is Kelly Rhyne, and I’m thrilled to begin my 22nd year as a Special Education Teacher. This will be my six year at Dunbar Child Development Center, and I feel so fortunate to be part of such a supportive and nurturing community.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to teach in both Charleston and Greenwood, gaining valuable experiences that have shaped my passion for early childhood special education. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Special Education from the College of Charleston.

My husband, Geoff, and I live in Greer with our three wonderful children and our playful Golden Doodle, Max. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and making memories together.

I’m looking forward to another amazing school year full of growth, learning, and joy!

Meet Mrs. Henson

Hi! My name is Kendra Henson. I’ve been a paraprofessional at Dunbar Child Development Center for 5 years, and I bring over 12 years of experience in early childhood education. Working with young children is truly my passion, and I love being a part of their early learning journey.

I live in Blue Ridge with my wonderful husband and our two amazing boys. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and spending time with my family.

I’m excited for another great year at Dunbar, filled with learning, laughter, and love!

Meet Mrs. Childers

Hi! My name is Alyson Childers, and I’m so excited to begin my second year at Dunbar Child Development Center!   I bring with me many years of experience working with individuals with disabilities—a passion that continues to inspire me every day.

My husband and I live in Greer, where we enjoy spending time with our three wonderful children and our sweet Golden Retriever, who keeps us all smiling. I’m looking forward to a great year filled with growth, connection, and new beginnings!
