My name is Amanda Reininger. I have been in education for over 20 years. Most of my years have been as a classroom teacher in grades 1-5. I have always loved reading and sharing that love with my students. This will be my second year as a Literacy Specialist here at Fountain Inn Elementary.
My Childhood and Education
I was born in Greenville, SC and have lived in this area my whole life! I attended private school until 6th grade, and then I transferred to public school. I attended Laurens High School and graduated in 1998. While in high school, I enjoyed cheering on my Raiders! In December 2001, I graduated from Lander University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I went on to earn my Master’s degree from Converse College. This will be my 24th year of teaching, and my 21st year here at Fountain Inn Elementary School.
My Family
I live in Mauldin with my husband, Jeff and our daughter, Jenna. Jenna attends Mauldin High School and is in the 10th grade. We also have two Golden Retrievers that keep us busy. Sophie is nine and Oakley is two. I enjoy traveling & being with friends and family.
