Pleased to Meet You!

   My name is Debra Forrester, and I'm excited to begin my 21st year here at Brushy Creek Elementary. I feel in my heart that teaching is a privilege and an honor. I love Brushy Creek--the "greatest" elementary school in South Carolina!

    Before I became a teacher, I enjoyed working in advertising, marketing, and desktop publishing. In 1989 I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in English, and a few years later I completed a certificate in Elementary Education from U.S.C. Upstate. In 2009 I completed a Master of Education degree from Southern Wesleyan University in Greenville.

    My husband Randy and I have been married 35 years, and our son Seth graduated from Clemson University with an architecture degree. 

    As a family, we enjoy trips to the beach and the mountains, hiking, and spending time with our extended families. We also love Disney World!
