I will provide extra reading instruction to students that are reading below grade level. I will be using two programs to help students make improvements with their reading abilities. I will use a program called Reading Horizons and material from a program called Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI).
With the Reading Horizons program , I will concentrate mostly on helping the students learn how to decode words to help them make progress with word recognition.
I will use materials from the LLI program to help students comprend what they read. We will also work on some word recognition skills as well.
I will work the students' teachers to make decisions about which program and what skills are needed for them.
