Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Mrs. Dohse, and I am delighted to be your child's teacher this year. To this day, I have warm memories of my own time in elementary school, and I hope to create the same for your child. A little bit about me...
Teaching is a second career for me, and this year will be my fourth year teaching at Buena Vista. After many years working in business and government, I decided to stay home with my two daughters, Riley and Madeline. I started working in their preschool and taught there for several years until my family moved to Greer for my husband's job. At that point, I became a Greenville County Schools substitute and began working toward an advanced degree in education.
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and my Masters in Teaching from Liberty University. I grew up in Virginia Beach, so I love spending time on any beach with Riley, Madeline, and my husband, Andy. I also enjoy exercise, travel, and READING.
It is my privilege to be your child's teacher. Please feel free to contact me anytime at edohse@greenville.k12.sc.us. I look forward to our year together!
P.S. "Dohse" is pronounced like the number two in Spanish (uno, DOS, tres...).
Aloha! My family and I enjoying summer break in Hawaii.
Visiting the AMAZING Grand Canyon!
Can you believe Mrs. Dohse used to be a kid too?
