About Mrs. Currey

After graduating from Georgetown High School in 1986,   I  went to USC - Coastal Carolina where I received a B.A. in English.  Several years later I realized my passion in life was to teach children. I went back to college and received my B.A. in Elementary Education from USC - Spartanburg, and later became certified in Learning Disability Resource.  I am married to my husband, John, and we have two children. Our daughter, Caroline, is a third year Kindergarten teacher with GCS, and our son, Harrison attends Greenville Technical College. I have taught K2, K3, and K4 classes, as well as 4th grade.

This is my ninth year as a Special Education Teacher at Woodland Elementary. This year I'm working with 4th and 5th graders, and am very excited to give the students the support and accommodations they need in order to be successful! I love being a Woodland Wildcat!
