About Me

My name is Amy Blanchard and this is my first year in 1st grade at Pelham Road Elementary.  The last two years, I was a teaching 3rd grade and have enjoyed being back in the classroom! Before Pelham Road I was working part time doing various jobs such as Educational Examiner, supervising student teachers at Furman University, and subbing.  I also taught 1st, 2nd, and K4 for 13 and a half years.  My husband, Heath, and I have three children: MaryNeil is at USC, Brooks is in 1oth grade, and Deacon is in 8th grade.   I actually attended Pelham Road Elementary as a child and am so excited to be back in the school where I grew up!  I am looking forward to getting to know my students and parents, and to having a fantastic year.
