About Me

My name is Amy Blanchard and this is my second year in 3rd grade at Pelham Road Elementary.  The year before, I was a reading interventionist and have enjoyed being back in the classroom! Before Pelham Road I was working part time doing various jobs such as Educational Examiner, supervising student teachers at Furman University, and subbing.  I also taught 1st, 2nd, and K4 for 13 and a half years.  My husband, Heath, and I have three children: MaryNeil is a freshman at USC, Brooks is in 9th grade, and Deacon is in 7th grade.   I actually attended Pelham Road Elementary as a child and am so excited to be back in the school where I grew up!  I am looking forward to getting to know my students and parents, as well as getting back into the classroom after all of these years.
