Mr. Rapp

About Me

Hello, my name is Mitchell Rapp, and I am the new reading interventionist at Northwest Middle.  I completed my bachelor's degree in Education from Western Carolina University, and I earned my master's degree in Executive Leadership from Gardner-Webb University. I have over twenty years of experience working in public schools. Most of my career was spent in Henderson County, North Carolina.  While in North Carolina, I taught all four levels of high school English, coached basketball and tennis, and achieved my National Board Certification for teaching English.  After teaching for thirteen years, I became an assistant principal at the Henderson County Career Academy.  I earned my first Principal’s position in Upstate New York and completed three years of service before relocating back to the South.  Also, my wife and I have three school aged children who all attend schools with Greenville County Schools. I am excited to be a Northwest Panther!
