Course Description

Biology 1 CP is a South Carolina high school level lab credit science course with a state-tested End-of-Course (EOC) exam. This course follows the new South Carolina College & Career Ready State Standards (2022) adapted from Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). The major topics in Biology include cell structure and function, cellular energy processes, organic carbon cycling, ecosystem dynamics, genetics, population genetics, and speciation. 

This course is written using principals of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to support a diversity of specialized learning needs.
