First and foremost, I expect each and every student to "do right." This simple phrase covers a broad spectrum of rules, regulations, and academic expectations. I expect each and every student to be attentive, complete all assignments in given time, and respect themselves, the teacher, and their peers. Listed below are my 5 simple rules each student must follow to be successful in my class.
1. Do Right!
2. Be prompt, prepared, and ready to learn
3. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself
4. Be kind, polite, and treat others as you want to be treated
5. Follow all school and classroom rules
1. First Offense- Warning
Warning given through hand signal/ look. Will also get a verbal warning if necessary. Only get one Warning
2. Second Offense- Separation
Separation from group/table. Lunch Detention
3. Third Offense- Student/Teacher Conference
Meet with student to go over rules and procedures in the classroom and make sure they fully understand what they are doing wrong during lunch detention.
4. Fourth Offense- Contact parent
Call/Email/Send Letter to parent to ask if they can have a conference with them about their child.
5. Fifth Offense- Office Referral
Send to office so they may give the correct punishment (after school detention, ISS, or OSS).
A- 90-100
B- 80-89
C- 70-79
D- 60-69
F- 59 and below
Any work that is turned in after the collection time in class, will be considered late. Late work guidelines go as follows:
For all AP Course:
25 Points off a day. On the 4th day and beyond, it is a zero (0)
For all Honors Courses:
Minor - 10 points off per day for 5 days and then zero
Major - 10 points off per day for 5 days and then until end of quarter to turn in for max of 50
