About Me

Hello all!

My name is Andy Newton. I am a History teacher and this is my ELEVENTH year at GHS. After teaching AP, Honors, and College Prep US History for the last 10 years, I will be teaching AP Government and Politics and Honors Gov/Econ this year. I am also the head Boys Golf coach.

About me:

I grew up in Northeast Georgia (Sautee) where I graduated from White County High School. I received my Undergraduate Degree from Presbyterian College where I majored in History and played football (Go Blue Hose!) I completed my masters at North Georgia College and State University. This is also where I received my education certificate.

I am married to my wonderful wife, Caroline. We reside right here in Greenville. We have an amazing daughter, Bridges, who is the light of our life!
