Criminal Law/Trial Advocacy

Criminal Law/Trial Advocacy

Criminal Law and Trial Advocacy is oriented toward students in their sophomore, junior or senior year who are interested in learning about the criminal justice system, including various crimes, criminal procedure, and the steps from arrest through trial. Students will learn about the trial process and procedures through the use of the South Carolina Bar High School Mock Trial case. Although this case is often a civil case, parallels are regularly drawn to allow students to analyze and appreciate the similarities and differences between civil and criminal trials.
