Hello! My name is TJ Foster and I am beyond thrilled to start my second year at Hillcrest Middle. Although this is my sophomore year of formal teaching at HMS, I actually went to school here myself, as well as long-term subbed and student taught here. I graduated from the University of South Carolina (Cocks by 90) with a Bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Education in May ‘22. Additionally, I received my Master of Arts in Teaching English from Liberty University in May ‘24. Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, running, pickleball, spending time with my friends and family, and of course, yapping. I firmly believe in the value of English. ELA is a subject that transcends beyond the classroom as it gives students a voice to engage in constructive, thought-provoking and empowering conversations. I’m looking forward to this school year, and hope to be a positive role model and teacher for all of my students!
