My name is Dr. Jose R.Cuyar. I have 10 years as a NY State Police Officer, 9 years with the Greenville City Police, and 4 years with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office. I also have 28 years of experience in the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard. After 9/11, I deployed with Operation Noble Eagle from 2001 to 2006 and completed a thirteen-month tour in Kandahar, Afghanistan, under Operation Enduring Freedom from 2006 to 2007. My highest rank attained during my military career was Major. Most of my law enforcement career was spent in the patrol divisions, dealing directly with the public in patrol duties and community patrol. After I retired from law enforcement, I worked for the Northrop-Grumman Corporation as a Military Trainer, rising to Senior Trainer training military personnel in various locations worldwide. After a short retirement, I began working for the Greenville County Schoo District teaching Law Enforcement Services and Criminal Justice to high school students. I am also a member of the Criminal Justice Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society.
I have a Ph. D. in Criminal Justice, a M.S.Ed. in Integrating Technology in the Classroom, and a B. S. in Liberal Arts.
