My name is Mike Ashcraft, and this is my fifth year teaching at Woodmont High School. Go Wildcats! I took the alternative route and completed the GATE program to become a certified teacher, as I came from outside the traditional education system. I worked in corporate for over a decade, found my calling to teach young minds, and have always had a passion for History, psychology, and anything related to people and culture. I’m thankful that I have the ability to not only teach, but to teach what I’m passionate about. I’m a native of Taylors, SC, and graduated from Wade Hampton High School. I got my bachelor's in political science at the flagship university here in this great state, the University of South Carolina. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three wonderful children. I love the outdoors, college football and fellowship with others!
