My name is Mike Ashcraft and this is my fourth year teaching at Woodmont High School. Go Wildcats! I went through the alternative route and completed the GATE program to become a certified teacher as I came from outside the traditional education umbrella. I worked in corporate for over a decade and found my calling to teach young minds and have always had a passion for History, psychology and anything that has to do with people and culture. I’m thankful that I have the ability to not only teach, but to teach what I’m passionate about. I’m a native of Taylors, SC and graduated from Wade Hampton High School. I got my bachelors in political science at the flagship university here in this great state, the University of South Carolina. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three wonderful children. I also love the outdoors and I’m a big advocate of fishing, hunting and college football. Go Gamecocks!!!
