Grading Policy
The grading floor of 50 has been removed for all middle and high school courses taught at the middle school level.
This applies to all grades, including assignment grades, progress report grades, and quarterly grades.
Teachers can no longer override grades below a 50 for assignments or quarterly grades. The gradebook will reflect the actual grade the student earned, even if it is below 50.
For example, in the past, if a student earned a grade below 50, the gradebook would reflect an override score of 50. Under the new district policy, the grading floor of 50 has been removed, so the grade entered in the gradebook will reflect the actual grade earned.
This policy also applies to middle-level high school courses. The actual grade earned will be recorded in the gradebook for all courses taught at the middle school.
