My name is Kris Monday, and I’m proud to teach Cosmetology at Bonds Career Center! I bring over 30 years of industry experience as a salon professional and successful business owner. Throughout my career, I’ve continued to grow and learn through advanced education, including courses at the Redken Exchange in New York City, Roy Peters Advanced Color Academy, and multiple Sam Villa programs.

Teaching allows me to share my passion for the beauty industry and to help students build the skills, confidence, and professionalism they need for a successful career in cosmetology. Watching them grow into talented future stylists is truly the best part of my job.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy camping, yoga, and biking with my family. I also love sewing, crafting with my Cricut, and cooking. My husband and I have three grown sons and two dogs, and though we now call South Carolina home, we’re originally from Radford, Virginia—and are proud Virginia Tech Hokie fans!
