Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! I am so sorry that I am not here to meet you and your sweet child.  Please know that I am so very excited to meet you and your child when I return to school in September. 

As my family welcomes our baby, our classroom family will also be welcoming a new member! I would like to officially introduce my maternity leave substitute Mrs. Burkholder. 

Mrs. Burkholder is a retired teacher from Summit Drive Elementary, and she is well prepared to take over in the classroom. We have met and discussed all classroom routines, schedules, & all of the important things she needs to know about my expectations for our school year together! Business will continue as usual, and we both expect the transition to go smoothly when I return. 

I would like to say thank you for all of your unwavering support throughout this school year. I am so sad to miss the beginning of the year and forming a relationship with your student early in the school year. However, I am sure that we will quickly bond when I return.
