This month in counseling, we’re getting students excited about the future! 🎉

Our K5–4th grade students will be exploring career awareness, learning about different jobs, skills, and interests, and beginning to make connections between what they enjoy now and what they might want to do one day. These lessons are all about dreaming big, building confidence, and understanding that every job plays an important role in our community.

Our 5th graders will be shifting gears and focusing on middle school registration. They will be registering for their middle school classes this month, learning what to expect, how to make thoughtful choices, and how to feel confident as they prepare for this next big step.

Nuestros estudiantes de K5 a 4.º grado explorarán la conciencia de carreras, aprenderán sobre diferentes trabajos, habilidades e intereses, y comenzarán a hacer conexiones entre lo que disfrutan ahora y lo que podrían querer hacer en el futuro. Estas lecciones se enfocan en soñar en grande, desarrollar confianza y comprender que todos los trabajos desempeñan un papel importante en nuestra comunidad.

Nuestros estudiantes de 5.º grado cambiarán de enfoque para concentrarse en la inscripción a la escuela secundaria. Este mes, estarán inscribiéndose en sus clases de escuela secundaria, aprendiendo qué esperar, cómo tomar decisiones reflexivas y cómo sentirse seguros mientras se preparan para este próximo gran paso.

This month, students in grades K–5 will focus on bullying awareness, while 5th graders will learn more about their future middle school . Students will learn the difference between bullying and peer conflict and what to do if they experience or witness either one. 

These lessons help students build empathy, problem-solving skills, and confidence while promoting a safe and respectful school environment. 

Este mes, los estudiantes de K–5.º grado se enfocarán en la conciencia sobre el acoso escolar (bullying), mientras que los estudiantes de 5.º grado aprenderán más sobre su futura escuela secundaria. Los estudiantes aprenderán la diferencia entre el acoso escolar y los conflictos entre compañeros, y qué hacer si experimentan o presencian cualquiera de estas situaciones.

Estas lecciones ayudan a los estudiantes a desarrollar empatía, habilidades para resolver problemas y confianza, mientras promueven un ambiente escolar seguro y respetuoso.
