WIDA ELD Standards Framework 

WIDA Standards

The state of SC participates in the WIDA consortium. This means that we utilize the WIDA standards and assessments.

WIDA Standards:

WIDA 1: English language learners communicate for Social and Instructional purposes within the school setting.

WIDA 2: The language of Language Arts

WIDA 3: The language of Mathematics

WIDA 4: The language of Science

WIDA 5: The language of Social Studies

Assessments:

W-APT Screener - Placement test given only to new students.

WIDA Access - Annual assessment that all English Learners take. Students are assessed in the areas of Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.
