Dear Staff Members & School Families,

I am so very excited for this school year at Robert E. Cashion with the staff and students. As the Instructional Coach, I will be working closely with administrators and teachers to help all students have a positive and successful school year.  I am looking forward to being a part of each child’s journey in elementary school.

I am from just outside of Detroit, Michigan, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with my Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University in 2005. I taught for two years in Michigan before moving to South Carolina in 2008 for a position at Monaview Elementary, where I taught from 2008-2014.  I received my Master’s Degree from Southern Wesleyan University in December 2010. In 2012-2013 I had the honor of being the Teacher of the Year at Monaview Elementary.  My husband and I were married in Pawley's Island on June 30, 2012.

I taught at Bell’s Crossing from 2014-2018. I was the Distinguished Teacher of Literacy for Bell's Crossing, and 2nd runner up for Greenville County in 2017-2018, and Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year at Bell's Crossing. I believe in a growth mindset, and continue to complete professional development classes to grow as an educator. I have also presented at UTC,  SCIRA, and SCASA, to share what I've learned with other teachers.

I love teaching, and am thankful for the opportunity to coach the incredible teachers here at REC. I look forward to getting to know each student and family!
