Hello! 

My name is Morgan Brush, LMSW, and I am the Mental Health Counselor at Bethel Elementary School - Go Cardinals! Prior to joining the team, I was the Mental Health Counselor at Travelers Rest High School. 

For my undergraduate degree, I attended The College of Charleston where I earned my B.S. Degree in Psychology while running on both the cross country and track team. After graduation, I began my graduate studies at Louisiana State University and earned my Masters in Social Work. While completing my masters, I had the opportunity to complete two internships. My first internship was with a local high school and my second was with the Counseling Center at Furman University. Both of these internships inspired me to pursue school-based mental health and revealed my true purpose in life!  

I believe in creating a safe and supportive space for students to openly express their thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I use an eclectic approach in my therapy with a strength-based, person-centered focus while incorporating aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention. 

When I am not at school, I enjoy walking with my two puppies (Gio & Indy) around our neighborhood, working in our garden, and spending time with my husband and daughter, who we welcomed in October of last year! My husband and I enjoy running and will be completing our first marathon in January in Disney!
