A Little About Me...
A Little About Me...
Hello all!
My name is Morgan Brush, LMSW, and I am the Mental Health Counselor at Travelers Rest High School - Go Devildogs! Prior to transitioning to Greenville County Schools Mental Health Services, I was able to join the Travelers Rest High School team a little early while working with the Department of Mental Health beginning in February.
For my undergraduate degree, I attended The College of Charleston where I earned my B.S. Degree in Psychology while running on both the cross country and track team. After graduation, I began my graduate studies at Louisiana State University and earned my Masters in Social Work. While completing my masters, I had the opportunity to complete two internships. My first internship was with a local high school and my second was with the Counseling Center at Furman University. Both of these internships inspired me to pursue school-based mental health and revealed my true purpose in life!
I believe in creating a safe and supportive space for students to openly express their thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I use an eclectic approach in my therapy with a strength-based, person-centered focus while incorporating aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention.
