All students will have final exams in all of their classes. However, a small set of classes are required by the state to take the End of Course (EOC) Exams. The EOC counts as 20% of the final course grade and will appear in the gradebook.

EOCs are statewide assessments that every student must take for math, science, English, and history. The state creates the assessments that are given at the end of the course. The state has identified the courses for EOCs as follows:
Algebra 1 - State Standards
Biology - State Standards
English 2 - State Standards
US History and the Constitution - State Standards
Only the students in the 4 courses (Algebra 1, Biology, English 2, and US History) take the EOC. Most of the time, 9th grade students take Algebra 1 and Biology. Most of the time, 10th grade students take English 2. Usually, 11th grade students take US History. However, some students may take these courses in different grade levels. AP US History students do take the US History EOC.
Students take benchmark assessments in the EOC courses through a computer program called Mastery Connect. These benchmarks are not created by the teachers, but they do align with the EOC standards. The benchmarks provide feedback to teachers, students, and parents about students' progress through learning the content of the course. The benchmarks are given at specific intervals throughout the course during class time.
EOCs are taken at the end of the semester when on block schedule. The EOCs will be included on the Final Exam schedules for the end of the fall semester and the end of the spring semester.
When available, a flyer for review sessions will be added here.
Students need to have their fully-charged Chrome Books in order to take the EOC.
More information will come from the EOC teacher about the test day.
EOC scores generally come back within 24-72 hours of completing the EOC. The scores are sent to the teachers and placed in the gradebook by the teacher.
