MHS National Honor Society

During the fall of 2023, returning NHS members must complete 10 service hours for the first semester.  Members inducted during the fall semester of the 2023 - 2024 school year must complete 5 service hours for the first semester.  The service hours requirements for the spring of 2024 will be than 10 hours for ALL members.

Members should submit verification of the hours they completed within the NHS Google Classroom.  Members should submit hours as soon as they are completed via the Google Form provided in Google Classroom.  Each activity can be submitted individually.  Members do not have to wait the end of the semester to submit completed hours.

During the pandemic, students should carefully consider how to serve their community and stay safe, as well.  Within the Google Classroom, the NHS officers will have compiled a list of possible opportunities for service that will be available by the date of the first meeting.  Please use these suggestions for inspiration as you consider how to contribute to your community.  Also within the Google Classroom, members will be able to find a list of service requests that have been submitted by teachers if teachers make requests.

As part of the required service hours, seniors must complete a service project. Expectations for Senior Service Projects are detailed below.
