Small Group Counseling
Small Group counseling is available for students facing similar situations that impact their success in school. Groups consist of about five to seven students and the counselor. Small groups meet once per week for about 30 minutes. Students will be given a permission form that must be signed and returned before participating in Small Groups. There are two types of Small Groups: Academic and Social/Personal.
Academic Groups: Students in grades 3-5 have the opportunity to participate in Student Success Groups.
Personal/Social: Students in grades K-5 are eligible to participate in Small Groups. Groups are formed based on need. Examples of group topics include grief & loss, divorce, anxiety, anger management, social skills, and friendship among others.
If you would like to refer your child for a Small Group, please contact Mrs. Bolt, Ms. Mack, or Mrs. Neely.
Individual Counseling
Individual Counseling will be provided to students through student request, teacher referral, or parent referral. Individual Counseling is available on a short-term basis. School Counselors do not provide long-term counseling or therapy.
