"The Kroaker"

My name is Kerri Klinker, and I am thrilled that this will be my 26th year of teaching overall and my 19th year at Buena Vista Elementary.  I am so excited to share this wonderful experience of change, growth and learning for your first grade child with each of you.  I have taught a total of 21 years in kindergarten and 5 years in first grade.   My undergraduate degree is in business administration/marketing from Converse College, but after several years of experience, I followed my heart returning there for my masters in early childhood.  I grew up in Roanoke, VA, and have lived here in Greenville, SC, for 20+ years.  I have four beautiful children that keep me young at heart and continuously on my toes: Sarah (21), Claire (21), Maggie (17) and Jackson (16).  I just can't help but love my pleasantly chaotic life!  Teaching in my neighborhood school has been wonderful, and I have enjoyed watching my students grow throughout the years!  

I sincerely look forward to getting to know all about you and your child. It will be a great pleasure watching the growth and academic success that each child will achieve this year and for many years to come. The high expectations and goals set and recorded throughout the year will allow each child to continue challenging him/herself and experience great pride in their own accomplishments. Combined with the many efforts of our excellent first grade team planning, the school support, and the parental involvement, I am confident that this will be a fantastic year, so....
