Behavior Plan

Behavior Plan

In my class, I feel that every student has the chance to make their own decisions and learn from them.  My behavior plan is very simple in regards that I will work with your child to ensure that I am understanding the root of what may be causing the behavior.  Students generally come to school ready to learn and do well! If there is a behavior that seems out of character or your child and he/she can not control, you will be notified on your child's behavior form.

Daily Communication Folder

Everyday your child will come home with a folder.  In this folder there will be a newsletter, homework, and a behavior chart.  On the behavior chart you will see a place where a smiley face will be marked for the day if your child had a great day! If your child needed redirection at some point during the day, and we could not work through it together, you will be notified with a sad face.  If I have to speak to your child more than once about an incident, then you will see two sad faces for the day.

Treasure Box

Every day of the week, if your child has had a smiley face, then your child will visit the treasure box.

Table Points

In my class we work together as a team.  A way for us to work together as a team is to show how well we work together with our table mates.  I reward tables that do the right thing.  This can be anything from pushing chairs under, to sitting quietly while working.  Each table is rewarded with tally marks.  On Friday, as a class, we count the tally marks to see which table has the greatest number.  The table with the greatest number will get a special surprise.
