About Mrs. Mitros

My name is Kristina Mitros, and I teach 1st grade at Bryson Elementary School.  I live in Mauldin, SC, with my furry girl, Caroline!  I have a master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Converse College and an undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of South Carolina.  Go Gamecocks!!  I love teaching my students, especially learning fun strategies that help us read all kinds of texts, write and share stories, get outside to play and make observations, study our shadows and the phases of the moon, and solve math problems together!  I love it when my students ask questions, and we work as a team to find the answers. 

I love spending time with my family and singing, whenever I can, especially as part of the music ministry at The Forge.  Caroline and I love going on trips together, taking walks, and snuggling, of course. 🥰 What a joy to meet new students each year, learn about each other's talents and gifts, and make the most of what we have each day to grow and learn new things!
