Attention Parents!!

I have 3 main goals for each student. They are:

1. Graduate with a group of friends

2. Graduate with a level of independence in the school, home and community.

3. Graduate with employability skills either for the community or Sheltered Workshop setting.

I have given each student a folder/notebook which needs to be checked EVERYDAY. This folder will have notes that are being sent home that day for your attention they will be in the folder. This is one way we start to build responsibility. It will be up to you to work with your student to make sure they show or give you their folder. We have a designated box for each student to put their folders when they enter the class. If you can designate an area for the folder at home this may help you and your student remember to check it and return it to school the next day. There are many times I need to stay in close contact with you to alleviate future problems.

I will be sending home information describing the different activities we have developed for the room. This will help you understand your student's daily schedule.
