TRHS Mission Statement

Our community believes that the high school program should prepare every student to live and compete in a global society, setting academic standards within a curriculum appropriate for each student, and provide a learning climate of order, safety, respect, and purpose.

We exist to educate students both academically and socially so that they become responsible citizens of our local and global community.

The faculty and staff see Travelers Rest High School not as an end but as a beginning of a journey toward enlightenment.

TRHS Chemistry Retake Policy

In accordance with school/district guidelines, and discussion with our principal, students are able to retake any test on which they have scored less than a 70%.

Remediation must be completed, and then they are allowed to retake a test on the same subject, however, the maximum grade that can be earned on a retake, will be 70%. That retake must be completed before or after school, not during instructional time, and prior to the next Unit Test.

We mentioned S'mores when talking about stoichiometry, and our exchange student said she had never heard of them nor had one! Well, we know how to fix that!
