Welcome to first grade! I am so thrilled to be your child's teacher this year. We will spend the year getting to know one another and becoming our own little first grade family. 

I have been teaching elementary school for 19 years, and Rudolph Gordon has been my home for 16 of those years.  I have a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Kentucky and a master's degree in elementary and early childhood education from Converse University. 

I am originally from Kentucky; however, I have lived in South Carolina most of my adult life. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else! I married my high school sweetheart, John, and we have 3 sons, Nate, Noah, and Jacob and two beautiful daughter-in-laws, Annie Kate and Savannah.

My hobbies are reading, singing, and running. Some of my favorite ways to spend my time are doing mission work, working in church activities, going to the beach and lake, and spending time with friends and family. 

 I will do my best to keep you updated on your child’s academic progress this year, as our partnership is one of the most vital keys to your child's success. I have been a teacher AND a parent at Rudolph Gordon, and I love our school so much.  I am looking forward to a wonderful year together!
