Hi! My name is Sarah Thurn and this is my first year at Oakview Elementary! I am so excited to join this amazing group of educators and students. Before working at Oakview I was a literacy specialist in Greenville County for two years. Prior to becoming a literacy specialist, I taught 4th grade, 2nd grade and 5th grade. This is my first year as instructional coach and I am looking forward to a wonderful year!!

I graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Elementary Education, go tigers!! I went on to get my masters degree in Elementary Eduacation from GCU. I love to learn and look forward to supporting the amazing teachers at Oakview. 

My husband and I had our first child this past year, her name is Reese :). We also have a wild little corgi named Luna and love to walk in Cleveland park or the farmer's market on Saturday mornings. I am lucky enough to have family in Charleston and take every opportunity to hang at the beach or see family in the mountains. I'm looking forward to an amazing 24-25 school year!!
