About the Teacher

My name is Ben Kase, and like many of you, this will be my FIRST year at Riverside High School! I have taught high school math for 12 years = 3 years in Las Vegas + 9 years in northern Indiana. I earned my undergraduate degree from Indiana University and masters degree from Ball State University.

On top of teaching, I've also held numerous other positions, including Freshman Academy leader, math instructional coach, PLC leader, dean support staff, study hall supervisor, and baseball coach.

Along the way, I've been very fortunate to be awarded a few accolades such as Top New Teacher in Clark County Nominee, South Bend Adams High School Teacher of the Year, Penn High School Teacher of the Month, and Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching Nominee.

When I'm not teaching, I'm usually exploring the Greenville area with my family: my wife, Jessica, and 3 kids - Addie (7), Nolan (5), and Sammy (2).  We are big Chicago sports and baseball fans (Go Cubs!).  In my free time, I also enjoy running, reading, and golfing.

Looking forward to an exciting '23-'24 school year!
