Chorus rehearsals are every Tuesday afternoon from 2:45-3:45p.m. Please be sure your child attends all rehearsals.

Christmas Program is on Thursday, December 15 at 6:00p.m. at Welcome Elementary School in the school cafeteria. Students need to arrive at 5:30p.m. Check your child's book bag for more information about what students are expected to wear and a complete list of extra practices. All are expected to attend.

Chorus Contract:

  • Students may only miss a rehearsal if they are at home sick, have a family emergency or for a death in the family.

  • Students must come to practice if they are at school that day. If your child has a sore throat and can’t sing, he or she should come to practice and listen even though they can't sing.

  • Students may not have an early dismissal on rehearsal days except for emergencies.

  • Students may not miss rehearsals for doctor, dentist or any other appointments except for emergencies. Parents must schedule appointments on other days.

  • Students may only be absent from chorus rehearsals six times during the school year. Only three absences during the first semester (September-December) and three absences during the second semester(January- April).

  • Students should strive to have perfect attendance in chorus. Please encourage your child to attend all chorus rehearsals. Students with perfect attendance in chorus for the entire school year will receive a special award at the end-of-the-year.

  • Students will be warned no more than 3 times for inappropriate behavior: excessive talking, uncooperative, disrespectful to teacher or other students.

  • Students must be role models and respectful to all teachers and students. This includes field trips and other community events. If a student gets in trouble at school or on a field trip and receives more than 3 CDR's, he/she will be removed from chorus. If a student is sent to ISS for a major offense, they will be automatically removed from chorus.

  • Students must be picked up on time. Students who are picked up late more than 3 times will be removed from chorus.

  • Siblings may not wait in the front office during chorus rehearsal.

  • Students will attend and be on time for all programs.

  • Parents must attend all programs. You may not drop off your child and leave.

  • Parents must purchase an honors chorus t-shirt for their child. More information coming soon.
