Grading Policy

Grade will be weighted as follows:

            Major Grades 50% = Tests & Major Projects

            Minor Grade 50% = Quizzes & Labs 

                                                Class work/Home work 

"Homework" in science consists of classwork assignments that were not finished in class and are taken up for a grade.  Late work will be due no later than one week before the end of the grading period.

Grading Scale:

100-90 = A

89 - 80 = B

79 -70 = C

69 - 60 = D

59 or below F

Grading Codes:

ABS = Absent (50%) and has 5 days to turn in for full credit

GFA = Grading Floor Applied (50%)

NHI = Not Handed In (50%)

EX/Omit = not factored (usually a lab that was missed due to ABS)

INC = Incomplete work (70%)
