Read a grade-level appropriate book (non-fiction or fiction) of your choosing.
Complete the following two parts:

What was your first reaction to the book? Was it positive, negative, or neutral?
Has the book changed your mind in some way?
What have you learned from this book?
Does it remind you of any personal experiences, or anything else you’ve seen or read?
Was it easy to follow? Interesting?
What age group would be best served in reading this book? In other words, who could benefit from reading this book?
What is the theme or lesson from the book?
What is your overall view of the book? Would you recommend it to others and why/why not?
Part 2: Teacher conference
Be prepared to discuss your book with your teacher in a five-minute conference.
**If you have already completed the Outliers assignment, you can submit it in place of this assignment.
