About Mrs. Bishop

Hello everyone!  My name is Mrs. Jennifer Bishop and this will be my 5th year here at Heritage Elementary School and my 17th year teaching Art.  I am excited to work within the Travelers Rest community!

I received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Art Education with a minor in Studio Art at Florida Southern College.  I received a Master's Degree in Art Education from the University of Florida.

I received the prestigious award of South Carolina Art Education Association Elementary Art Educator of the Year in 2022.

I have received the honor of Teacher of the Year for Fountain Inn Elementary School in 2018 and Teacher of the Year for Dr. N. E. Roberts Elementary school (in Florida) in 2011.

I am an Artist as well as an Art Teacher.  I enjoy painting and drawing nature!   In 2017, I was awarded an Artist Residency with the South Carolina State Parks Program at Santee State Park.  

My Husband and I moved to South Carolina in 2015 from central Florida.  I currently live in Travelers Rest with my husband, 3 rescue dogs, and 3 chickens.
